She has proven it is possible to successfully work with family members and have fun while doing it! Jen holds a BS in mechanical engineering from Kansas State University.

When she is not running the company, you can find her running – either along the trail or to the store to restock her wine and gummy bears supply.

Howard Smith

Superintendent

While Howard technically isn’t a true Austinite, he might as well be. He spent the first seven years of his life less than 50 miles north of Austin in Schwertner, TX until his family made the move to the capital city. Howard loves all things Austin – the Longhorns, year-round golfing weather, and Tex-Mex.

Howard has always loved creating things with his hands – from bookcases to coffee tables to headboards – so a career as a hands-on superintendent was a natural fit for him. He started work as a foreman for a local drywall company in 1976 and quickly took on an additional role doing the millwork on several projects. In 1994, after completing several successful projects for Richard, he joined The Kidd Group, Galbraith Construction at that time. Howard has been with The Kidd Group for over two decades and is the head superintendent overseeing all of the subcontractors. His passion is working on the construction site, managing projects from beginning to end, and making sure they are completed with the highest quality and on time. You will often find Howard with a drill in his hand putting the final touches on a project.

When Howard is not on the jobsite, he enjoys golfing, watching college football, and spending time with his family, often making his daughter’s favorite enchilada recipe. He and his family also support The Christi Center, a local nonprofit that provides grief support for those who have suffered the loss of a loved one.

The Kidd Group has been the general contractors for three major office expansions for my medical office over the past 12 years. We have been quite pleased with the work that they have done for Texas Oculoplastic Consultants over the years. We would not hesitate to use them again as our expansion requires in the future.

Russell W. Neuhaus, M.D.

Texas Oculoplastic Consultants

The end result is exactly if not more than what we had in mind. Our job was finished before the original date we provided and on top of that there was no punch list. None of us could find one thing wrong with the beautiful suite.

I would not for a minute hesitate recommending The Kidd Group. They are simply the best!

Lee Ann Baze CPM

Southwest Dentistry

You transformed this building from an unsightly and unusable floor plan to a place that we are excited to show off to our patients and friends. You not only did this at a pace that was hard to believe, but also completed the project at or below budget. It was as if you were completing this project for yourself and not for a customer. THANK YOU!

Ronald Shapiro MD

Pediatric Cardiology of Austin

My colleagues in Austin have nothing but the highest praise for their new office space, and I want to express my personal appreciation to you for your exemplary efforts as the primary general contractor.

Your construction capabilities, interpersonal skills, attention to detail and diligence reflect very highly on you — and I might add — on the building and the LBJ Holding Co. as well.

For Myself, The LBJ Co. and our affiliate owners in the tower of the hills, I want to say thank you, thank you.
